BRILLA FORWARD
​This movement with momentum is a community-based initiative designed to support low-income and first-generation young adults in the Tri-Cities/Prosser area who face any barriers to accessing or achieving the benefits of a higher education. It addresses the many who have already put in the hard work in the past, and just need some support in shining forward to the future.
PROGRAM SPECIFICS
SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT:
- A $500 award and access to resources for college success.
MENTORSHIP & NETWORK BUILDING:
- Guidance from local professionals, graduates, and fellow students in Social Work and related professions.
PRACTICUM & CAREER ACCESS:
- Direct connections to community partners and agencies through Sparkle’s growing network.
EMPOWERMENT & LEADERSHIP:
- Opportunities to develop advocacy, leadership, and service skills through involvement in Sparkle community projects.
EDUCATION & LEARNING:
- Subject Matter Expert led workshops including "Financial Aid: A Focus On The Fiscal Basics", "Enrollment: How To Navigate Processes & Narrow Down Options" and "College Life: Preparing For Big Changes While Staying Emotionally Grounded".
SHINE FORWARD, WORK TOGETHER, LIFT ALL: Through lasting partnerships with organizations like Alcon Media, Heritage University, and our own Sparkle Initiative, Brilla Forward creates a web of opportunity that connects hope with action. This collaboration allows students to access not only financial support but also mentorship, practicum placements, and professional guidance — transforming community relationships into tangible pathways for educational success.​

What begins as a scholarship evolves into a lifelong connection, offering mentorship, employment opportunities, and a shared commitment to service. ​
